Mexican Canelo Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) said that he would certainly once again enter the ring with the Russian WBA Super light heavyweight champion (up to 79.4 kg) Dmitry Bivol (20-0, 11 KOs), who lost on points in early May.

Alvarez claims that he has drawn the necessary conclusions and understands what will need to change in the rematch.

“I will definitely try again (to get in the ring with Bivol). I am a very persistent person and I love such challenges,” said Canelo. – I tried to gain weight and win this title, but it didn’t work out. But we’ll try again. Only now I will try to be in the best physical condition and prepare for 12 rounds.

“I need a different strategy than what I used with my opponents at 76.2 kg,” states the Mexican. “I tried to do new things and it didn’t work, but now we have a new benchmark for what we’re going to face. You learn from everything.”

Recall that Alvarez’s next fight will be against Gennady Golovkin – the trilogy has already been officially announced on September 17. In the meantime, Bivol has already picked up a contender for the end of the year.
