Former world super middleweight champion and current contender for the title in the light heavyweight division Mexican Gilberto Ramirez made a prediction for the upcoming third fight of his compatriot, absolute champion in 76.2 kg Canelo Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) and Kazakhstani Gennady Golovkin ( 42-1-1, 37 KOs), who holds the WBA/IBF 72.6 kg titles.
Like the vast majority, Gilberto predicts a landslide victory for Alvarez.
“This is a great opportunity for Canelo. I think he will knock out Golovkin. He comes back to 76.2 kg, where he is very strong, says Ramirez. I like Golovkin, but I think Canelo should win. He knows what it takes to win this fight.”
Alvarez, meanwhile, spoke out about Golovkin’s age and the possibility of a fourth fight.
