A bantamweight title fight between reigning UFC champion Aljamain Sterling and former UFC double champion Henry Cejudo will be the main event of UFC 288 on May 6 in Newark, New Jersey, USA.
The championship fight, which was previously reported by informed sources close to the situation, was officially announced by representatives of the strongest league in the world.
Last October at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi, Aljamain Sterling made his second successful title defense, finishing with a second-round TKO of former division champion TJ Dillashaw.
Henry Cejudo last entered the octagon in May 2020, finishing with a TKO in the second round of Dominic Cruz, after which he announced his retirement and vacated the UFC bantamweight championship belt.
