A bantamweight title fight between Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo could take place on April 8 at UFC 287 in Brooklyn.
This was announced by the famous sportswriter Damon Martin.
“A few details – the fight is scheduled for UFC 287, but has not yet been officially scheduled. Obviously Aljo has a biceps injury and that’s still a factor on which a lot will depend,” the reporter wrote on the social media.
The title fight was originally supposed to take place on March 4 at UFC 285 in Las Vegas, however, Sterling, who owns the championship belt, said he wants to heal a bicep injury that has been bothering him for the past two fights.
Recall that Henry Cejudo plans to resume his professional career after almost a three-year break, and for Aljamain Sterling this fight will be the third defense of the championship belt.
