Aljamain Sterling reveals date for Henry Cejudo fight

A bantamweight title bout between reigning UFC champion Aljamain Sterling and former UFC double champion Henry Cejudo will be part of UFC 288 on May 6.

Sterling announced this in another video posted on his YouTube channel.

Last October at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi, Aljamain Sterling made his second successful title defense, finishing with a second-round TKO of former division champion TJ Dillashaw.

Henry Cejudo last entered the octagon in May 2020, finishing with a TKO in the second round of Dominic Cruz, after which he announced his retirement and vacated the UFC bantamweight championship belt.

The title fight was originally supposed to take place on March 4 at UFC 285 in Las Vegas, however, due to a bicep injury, Sterling needed more time to prepare.

Note that UFC representatives have not yet made any statements on this matter and have not officially announced a numbered event scheduled for May.
