Aljamain Sterling responds to Henry Cejudo injury

The current UFC bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling, commented on the news that Henry Cejudo, who unsuccessfully tried to take the title from him in the previous fight, was injured and dropped out of the UFC 292 tournament, in which he was supposed to meet Marlon Vera.

“Henry Cejudo is out of the fight,” Sterling said in a video posted on his YouYube channel. “Remember how he wrote to Dana White, ‘If this little coward doesn’t want to fight, I’ll take the fight’? Dana also called him ‘the little savage’. Isn’t it funny how the roles have been reversed and the ‘little savage’ is no longer a savage? Personally, I will call him a dirty little ferret. He tried to slander my name in front of the fans, trying to make it look like I didn’t want to fight.”

“Henry wanted to be a tough guy, so he lied to the fans, pretending that he was going to fight and win, but in the end he looks like a clown trying to pretend to be something he is not. I at least said honestly beforehand that I want to check my injuries first so as not to deprive the fans of their hard-earned money. And let’s not forget that this guy was away for three years and all this time he was treating his injuries with stem cells and other drugs.

Recall that the UFC 292 tournament will take place on August 19 in Boston, and its main event will be the bantamweight title fight between Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley.
