The American is ready to fight again with the Russian
American fighter Aljamain Sterling spoke about the fight with Petr Yan at UFC 259.
In the fourth round, Yang landed an illegal knee to the head while the American was on the floor. The Russian was disqualified, the victory was awarded to Sterling.
The American became the bantamweight champion.
“This is not the way I wanted to win. The fight was close, competitive and eventful. I felt that this knee was deliberate, especially after the referee said that I was on the floor. I didn’t expect this hit. Yang is a bad guy. We’ll do it again!” Sterling tweeted.
Note that after the fight, Yang apologized and called for a rematch.
