A day after manager Henry Cejudo named his client as the next contender for the UFC bantamweight championship, reigning division champion Aljamain Sterling indirectly confirmed this information by having a battle of views with a potential opponent.
The confrontation of the fighters, which took place at the final event of the PFL league in New York, ended with the promise of Sterling to deal with Cejudo in the first round.

According to Ali Abdelaziz, the title fight between Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo will take place next spring.
On October 22 at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi, Aljamain Sterling successfully defended his belt, finishing with a TKO in the second round of TJ Dillashaw, and Henry Cejudo last entered the octagon in May 2020, knocking out Dominick Cruz in the second round.
