British heavyweight Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) admitted to
interview iFL TV that admires two American predecessors. As you might guess, these are ex-heavyweight champions Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson.

Joshua separately noted that for him Muhammad is not only an outstanding boxer, but also a personality.

“The Greatest in the ring and beyond: what he embodied; the people he fought; his run is top notch,” Joshua lists. “Joe Frazier, Ken Norton, Floyd Patterson and George Foreman… Ali fought the best and the best and did his best.”

At the same time, the number one for him is still “Iron” Mike:

“Mike Tyson, in my opinion, is phenomenal, simply phenomenal. I can’t even find the right words. He’s my number one.”

Recall that Joshua’s next entry into the ring is scheduled for August 20 in Saudi Arabia – he will try to become a three-time world champion in rematch with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) for the WBA, WBO and IBF titles.

Meanwhile, Usyk’s former rival gave Joshua advice on how to beat the Ukrainian.
