Reigning UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira, who will be backing Glover Teixeira in a few hours against Jamal Hill, believes his sparring partner will win a title fight against the American.
“Anything can happen,” said the Brazilian in an interview with MMA Fighting. “A lot of people say about grappling that Glover will submit Hill. Of course, the probability of this is quite high, but do not forget that he has several knockout victories. I do not exclude that he will knock out this guy. Either way, it will be a great fight.”
“Glover is happy and motivated, which is the most important thing. It’s a dangerous fight against a young guy, but I think it’s a good fight for him. Glover is more experienced, and I can see that he is really inspired and believes in himself.”
Recall that the fight for the vacant UFC light heavyweight title between Glover Teixeira and Jamal Hill will be the main event of the UFC 283 tournament, which will be held Saturday night into Sunday in Rio de Janeiro.
