Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, who once lost to Jan Blachowicz by unanimous decision, believes that the Polish fighter will defeat Magomed Ankalaev and regain the UFC light heavyweight title, which is currently vacant.
“Jan Blachowicz vs Ankalaev – I’m betting on Jan in this fight,” Adesanya said in a video posted on his Youtube channel. “I think Jan’s experience will help him get through it. Ankalaev looks like a beast, but everyone has a limit. If you push it towards it, it will break.”
The light heavyweight championship fight between Magomed Ankalaev and Jan Blachowicz will be the main event of UFC 282, which will take place on December 10 in Las Vegas.
The Russian-Polish confrontation was declared title after the current champion of the division, Jiri Prochazka, was injured and dropped out of the event, leaving his belt vacant.
