ACA League is ready to organize a fight between Shlemenko and Reznikov

The ACA League is ready to discuss the possibility of organizing a fight between Russian middleweight Alexander Shlemenko and Kazakhstani lightweight Artem Reznikov, whose public conflict turned into an exchange of mutual insults.

About this in an interview to the Ushataika channel reported the vice-president of the promotion, Aslanbek Badaev.

“I saw Reznikov’s appeal, and I glimpsed Shlemenko’s interview where he calls Artem a blabbermouth,” Badaev said. “To be honest, I don’t know how to react to this. My position in cases like this is to stay out of the place where the two sides are communicating. Because I don’t know the details, I don’t know what’s going on between them, I don’t know what happened.”

“But anyway, the Reznikov-Shlemenko fight is the real story, why not? Shlemenko isn’t that big, I think he’s a natural welterweight. Artem is a big lightweight, even though he’s small in height, he’s quite large in dimensions. That’s why I think it would be a normal fight, moreover, Artem himself, I think, doesn’t hide it – Alexander’s peak has probably passed, and his best days are behind him, according to his feelings”

“As I said, it would be a good fight, first of all from a media point of view. On the other hand, too many things have to come together to make this fight happen. First, Reznikov has a fight scheduled with Bagov, though it hasn’t been officially announced yet. Secondly, will Shlemenko want to come to ACA? Will the management want him for one fight, not a contract? But if fighters tomorrow say – I want, and I want, we are ready to discuss and try to find a way out of this situation. We make the fights that the audience wants to see, and I have no doubt that this is a fight that the audience would watch”

“The biggest factor is the fee factor. I’m sure Shlemenko will bend the amount, and I’m sure Artem will want to get out of his standard contract since he’s making such an unconventional fight. So, too many moments.”

Recall that the initial reason for the conflict between the fighters was an interview with Artem Reznikov, in which the ACA lightweight spoke out about the circumstances of the departure of his friend Alexander Sarnavskiy from the team “Storm”.
