Echo Arena, Liverpool, UK. In the main event of the show, the local ex-world champion fighter of the first middle weight (up to 69.9 kg) Liam Smith (32-3-1, 19 KOs) prematurely knocked out the African Hassan Mwakinyo (20-3, 14 KOs), who was remembered by local fans with an upset which hosted in September 2018.
Smith occupied the center of the ring, slowly crushing the Tanzanian. He backed away, but at the same time he tried to intercept Smith’s attacks, using excellent manual speed. In the 3rd round, Mwakinho fell out of the blue, began to complain about his injured leg, but still continued the fight.
In the 4th three-minute period, an even more ridiculous episode occurred. For some reason, the African took his knee, after which he received a powerful blow from Smith. Mvakinho tried to appeal to the referee, but when he realized that he could not win by disqualification, he got to his feet. Seconds later, the underdog again began to address the third in the ring, after which the Briton scored him in the corner before the referee signaled.
A very strange fight.
