Armory, Minneapolis, USA. Fedor Cherkashin (21-0, 13 KOs), a native of Ukraine, a native of Ukraine (up to 72.6 kg), coped with a noticeable increase in the level of opposition – he confidently outboxed the strong Nathaniel Gallimore (22-6-1, 17 KOs) from Jamaica.
Cherkashin confidently took the center of the ring, surprised his opponent with aggressive and effective pressure. Both tried to confuse each other by frequently changing stances.
Gallimore began the 3rd round more actively and scored his best hit – the favorite hid in the clinch. In the next three minutes, Cherkashin beautifully countered the opponent with a right hook, delivered several beautiful uppercuts. So far it looks very solid.
A native of Kharkov, he moved perfectly, combined, worked for sure, that is, with the highest efficiency. In the 6th round, he began to invest in punches, forcing the opponent into survival mode.
Gallimore looked a little more successful in the next three-minute period – he brought several overhands to the goal. But he is still inferior in the number of thrown and accurate shots. It is unlikely that he will be given more than one round.
Judges score: 97-93 (what?), 99-91 and 100-90.
Cherkashin UD 10.
