His willingness to share the octagon with “The Diamond” was signaled by his compatriot Michael Johnson, who knocked him out as early as the second minute of their fight in September 2016.
“Let’s do it Dustin Porier! I’m all for it!”, Johnson wrote on social media, addressing Puryear.

Michael Johnson has only two wins in his last eight fights, and this time he plans to return to the octagon after losing by second-round knockout to Diego Ferreira in May of this year.
