The absolute champion of the super middleweight (up to 76.2 kg) Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) from Mexico again saw face to face with the eternal rival Gennady Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs) from Kazakhstan , but so far only at a press conference dedicated to their upcoming third fight. It will take place on September 17 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (USA), unless, of course, there is some kind of force majeure like the Third World War.
The fighters met for photos and videos before the start of the press, and then after it. Judging by how tensely both spent this part of the event, they either really don’t like each other, or they don’t care, but at the same time both play excellently on camera.
After a moment of “sticking”, both slowly stepped back and turned forward – but continued to stare at each other intently.
Previous fights between irreconcilable rivals ended in a draw and a minimal victory for Canelo. Both times they were ranked lower in the middleweight division (up to 72.6 kg).

In May 2022, Saul suffered his first defeat since 2013, when he unsuccessfully poked himself into light heavyweight: he was outboxed by Dmitry Bivol.
