UFC 270 tournament bout
The fight will take place on January 23 in Anaheim (California, USA) at the Honda Center and will be one of the main ones at the UFC 270 PPV tournament. The estimated start of the fight is 06:00 Kyiv time. The fight will be broadcast live on Setanta Sports.
Welterweight fighter Michel Pereira (26-11, 2 NC) who has gained a good momentum will take on UFC newcomer Andre Fialho (14-3, 1 NC). Initially, Pereira was supposed to fight Muslim Salikhov on January 16, but for some reason the Russian withdrew from the fight.
Pereira, after two consecutive defeats to Tristan Connelly and Diego Sanchez, issued a series of three victories. He stopped Zelimkhan Imadaev by choke, and Kalin Williams and Niko Price, the Brazilian passed by unanimous decision.
Fialho previously fought in Bellator and PFL, but did not achieve much success either there or there. The Portuguese attracted the attention of the UFC with a series of four knockout victories. Fialho last fought in October at UAE Warriors 24, where he had a minute and a half to stop Stefan Sekulich.
Prediction for the fight
Andre Fialho is a distinct puncher. However, it is not a fact that Pereira will lose to him in the standing position. On the side of the Brazilian experience, as well as a black belt in BJJ.
Pereira’s skills allow him to compete on his feet and dominate on the ground. We assume that Pereira will bet on his grappling and at some point submit Fialho.
