Popular blogger Jake Paul continues his success as a boxer, picking up his ninth win in professional wrestling.
This time the 27-year-old American defeated his 35-year-old compatriot Ryan Burland, who had previously only fought once in six years.
The fight, which took place at a boxing event in Puerto Rico, ended at 2:37 in the first round with an early victory for the Youtuber, who backed his opponent into a corner and rained down a hail of punches on him, forcing the referee to stop the fight.
After the fight, Jake Paul once again challenged one of the best boxers of our time, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez.
“Canelo, stop avoiding me!” said the American in his post-fight interview to the Mexican. “I know that’s what you want! I’m the face of this sport – I’m the most popular boxer and I have the most knockouts, period. Nobody can deny that.”
Jake Paul has eight professional victories as a boxer to date, including wins over notable fighters such as Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz.
The American suffered his only defeat last year against Britain’s Tommy Fury, to whom he lost by split decision after eight rounds.
