Former interim WBC lightweight boxing champion Ryan Garcia is ready to make his mixed martial arts debut and face current UFC lightweight titleholder Sean O’Malley.
“I’m ready to fight Sean O’Malley in the UFC, that’s all. But Dana, you’re going to have to write me a real check,” Garcia wrote on social media, referring to the head of the world’s strongest league.
It didn’t take long for the UFC champion to respond.
“Bro, I’ll finish you in minutes,” O’Malley parried.
“Okay, rainbowhead, there’s only one way to find out. Dana, let’s do it!”, Garcia replied.
As a reminder, Sean O’Malley will make his title defense against Marlon Vera on March 9 at UFC 299 in Miami, while Ryan Garcia has a fight scheduled for April 20 against former all-time lightweight boxing champion Devin Haynie that will put the WBC bantamweight title on the line.
