The main event fight of the UFC 300 tournament will be announced later this week during a commercial promotion for the National Football League’s Super Bowl 58 finale, according to informed sources close to the situation.
This information was indirectly confirmed by the head of the UFC, Dana White, who said in a recent interview that he will only be present for the first quarter of the game.
“I’ll have to run up to the end of the first quarter and write some things down, and then I’ll go home,” the head of the organization told the Review-Journal. “I have a box at the stadium, but I’m going to be busy this Sunday.”
The final game, featuring teams from San Francisco and Kansas City, will be played Feb. 11 at Alliant Stadium in Paradise, a satellite city of Las Vegas.
The UFC 300 anniversary event will take place April 13 in Las Vegas, and the event’s card currently features two title fights – a women’s bantamweight championship bout between Weili Zhang and Xiaonan Yang, and a BMF title fight between Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway, who will meet as part of the lightweight division.
