No. 2 ranked UFC lightweight Justin Gaethje, who is set to defend his BMF title against Max Holloway in his next fight, will try to avoid going to a judicial decision and become the first fighter to knock out “Blessed”.
“I have 25 wins and 20 knockouts,” “Highlight” told ESPN. “That’s what I’ve been trying to purposefully do my whole career. So yeah, that’s what I’m going to strive for.”
“It was the same thing with Tony Ferguson – nobody could finish him. I didn’t knock him out in the traditional sense of the word, but I did enough damage to him that that fight could be stopped.”
“I promise you, this is going to be a war. If I don’t catch him, if I can’t do enough damage to him, then he’s unstoppable. He’s constantly creating angles and applying pressure, and it could be a very tough fight.”
As a reminder, the lightweight bout between Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway will be part of the UFC 300 anniversary event on April 13 in Las Vegas.
