Popular Chechen fighter Khamzat Chimayev congratulated Russian Ali Bagov, who defeated Kazakhstan’s Artem Reznikov and advanced to the semifinals of the ACA Lightweight Grand Prix.
“Ali ‘Hulk’ Bagov, congratulations, my brother!”, “Borz” wrote on social media, posting a video of the end of the fight, which took place at the ACA 168 tournament in Moscow.
Referee Maxim Protasov stopped the fight at the 4:13 mark of the fourth round after Bagov performed a crucifix and delivered about thirty elbow strikes to his opponent’s head, turning Reznikov’s face into a bloody mask.
In the semifinal match of the grand prix, Ali Bagov will face Brazilian Herdeson Batista, who finished Russian Mehdi Dakaev by technical knockout in the first round of the event.
Undefeated Khamzat Chimaev is currently recovering from an injury he suffered against Kamaru Usman at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi.
