Russians Sharabutdin Magomedov and Magomed Ankalaev are among the most tested fighters in the world’s strongest league this year.
According to the American Anti-Doping Agency, Magomedov and Ankalaev have been tested 25 and 22 times in 2023, respectively, ranking them fourth and sixth in the UFC’s top 10 fighters who have taken the most doping tests.
Topping the list was former UFC middleweight title challenger Paulo Costa, who met with USADA 36 times, while current UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones rounded out the top three with 26 tests.
Two months ago, 29-year-old Sharabutdin Magomedov made a successful debut for the organization at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi, defeating former M-1 champion Bruno Silva by unanimous decision over three spectacular rounds. “Shara Bullet” is rumored to return to the octagon on March 2 at UFC Fight Night 238 in Saudi Arabia.
Former UFC bantamweight title challenger Magomed Ankalaev will headline UFC Fight Night 234 in Las Vegas on Jan. 13, and the 31-year-old Russian fighter’s opponent will be Brazilian Johnny Walker.
