Israel Adesanya’s reaction to the Strickland and Du Plessis fight

Former UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, commented on the incident between Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis, who got into a real brawl in the gym at UFC 296 in Las Vegas.

“At least he didn’t call him a nigg**t,” Adesanya said in another video posted on his Youtube channel. “This is what perfectly respectable champions and title challengers do.”

“People were saying, ‘Israel is disgracing himself as champion,’ and then this happens. Strickland beats Du Plessis stealthily. That’s what he does. He jumps over the chairs, hits him stealthily, and they have a little scuffle. But I loved it. Everybody knows I love a shitty show.”

Earlier, Gilbert Burns’ wife, Bruna Burns, who was in close proximity to the middleweights, reported that Du Plessis was the one who suggested Strickland put up the fight, and UFC head, Dana White, took the blame for the incident as he personally oversaw the seating of the invited fighters in the audience.

Recall that Dricus Du Plessis will attempt to take the UFC middleweight championship belt from Sean Strickland on January 20 at UFC 297 in Toronto.
