Roman Kopylov announced the terms of his next fight in the UFC

Russian UFC middleweight Roman Kopylov, who lost to his compatriot Magomed Ismailov in a jiu-jitsu bout at ACBJJ 15 in St. Petersburg last weekend, has revealed when he plans to fight next in the world’s strongest league.

“Just waiting for information – hopefully they should say before the New Year,” Kopylov said in an interview after the event. “There are already tournaments for January, February, March. I would like to fight in these numbers. Optimally – the end of February, early March would be good”

Roman Kopylov, 32, began his run in the UFC in 2019 and suffered two straight losses, losing by rear-naked choke to Karl Roberson and unanimous decision to Albert Duraev, but the former Fight Nights Global champion has since reeled off four straight knockout victories, most recently finishing Josh Fremd in the second round in his last fight.

The Russian fighter is not currently ranked in the top 15 of the organization’s middle division.
