Colby Covington: ‘Donald Trump would destroy me in a fight’

Former U.S. President, Donald Trump, was directly involved in developing the plan to fight Leon Edwards, claims UFC welterweight championship belt challenger, Colby Covington.

The American fighter revealed this in an interview with Mirror Fighting.

“He’s a good friend of mine and it’s not just an occasional meeting every few months,” “Chaos” stated. “I was at his residence in Mar-a-Lago a couple weeks ago and I call him regularly to ask him about his fight plan. He gives me great coaching advice. Tram is a great fighter himself – he’s got knuckles like lunchboxes.”

“This guy is so big, he would destroy me if we fought. The most important and famous man on planet earth would be sitting in the front row watching my fight. And who does Leon have? Maybe the royal family, Paddington Bear, or Mary freaking Poppins will come to support him? Leon is nobody – he’s side B, and I’m side A!”

As a reminder, the British-American title clash will be the main event of UFC 296, which takes place on December 16 in Las Vegas.
