Conor McGregor stood up to the Russian anthem at a boxing night in Dubai

Former UFC champion in two weight categories, Conor McGregor, was one of the guests of the “IBA Night of Champions” boxing evening in Dubai, organized by the International Boxing Association and the Russian Boxing Federation.

The Irishman, who watched the fights in the company of former UFC lightweight champion Peter Yan, not only listened to the Russian anthem standing up, but also greeted its conclusion with applause.

In addition, McGregor and Yan directly participated in the event by holding an impromptu battle of glances in the ring.

One of the guests of the tournament was the current UFC lightweight champion and the best fighter of the organization regardless of weight category, Islam Makhachev, whom the organizers prudently placed on the other side of the ring from McGregor.

It should be noted that all three fighters may have their next fights in the first quarter of next year.
