All charges against the Askhabov brothers have been dropped

Thai police have dropped all charges against Russian flyweight Hussein Askhabov and his brother Hasan, who were detained in Phuket in September this year in a case of kidnapping and torture of an Italian citizen.

At the moment, both athletes are at large, and Hussein Askhabov will soon begin preparations for his next fight in the UFC, which will take place in February or March next year.

Recall that the crime was committed by three citizens of Kazakhstan, who managed to leave the country, depriving the victim of savings and valuables worth more than three hundred thousand dollars, and Askhabovs, who did not take part in the attack, were detained after the Italian gave their names. According to available information, the police are now going to charge the victim with perjury and prosecute the case.

In February of this year, 28-year-old Hussein Askhabov had a disappointing UFC debut, losing by unanimous decision to Jamall Emmers after three rounds. Askhabov was scheduled to fight Daniel Pineda in October, but the fight was canceled after the fighter was detained.
