Famous Russian fighter Vladimir Mineev made the second successful defense of his “REN TV Fight Club” champion belt at 93 kilograms, defeating his compatriot Ivan Shtyrkov in a kickboxing rules bout at an event in Sochi.
The fight went the full distance, with the judges’ three round unanimous decision scores of 30-29 and 30-27 twice giving the win to Mineyev, who as a basic kickboxer had a significant advantage over his opponent, especially in the second three minutes when he picked up the pace.

In a post-fight interview, Vladimir Mineyev, who also holds the AMC Fight Nights middleweight title, stated that he is looking forward to a rematch with Ivan Shtyrkov under mixed martial arts rules, which they will do next year under the RCC league banner.
