The heavyweight fight between Russian Alexey Oleinik and British Oli Thompson will be the second major event of the RCC 17 tournament, which will take place on December 15 in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
The organization of the fight, which will be a rematch, was officially announced by representatives of the Russian league.
In May of this year, at the “REN TV Fight Club” event, Oli Thompson scored a sensational victory by knocking Alexey Oleinik out with a right jab in the first round.
It was not clear not only to the audience, but also to the commentators, and after the tournament it was reported that the fights were held according to the rules of the WTKF league, established by the organizer of the show, Russian promoter Vladimir Khryunov. Nevertheless, it was not officially mentioned anywhere, and press releases spoke about MMA fights in the format of three rounds of three minutes each.
This time the heavyweights will have a full-fledged fight under MMA rules, which will be added to their professional record.
Recall that the main event of the event will be a middleweight rematch between Russian Alexander Shlemenko and Serbian Alexander Ilic.
