Magomed Ankalaev: “Walker can grab a nice jar”

Magomed Ankalaev, a participant of the potential challenger bantamweight fight, shared his expectations from the upcoming confrontation with Brazilian Johnny Walker, with whom he will share the octagon this weekend.

“As my manager informed me, the winner of our fight will get a title fight,” said the Russian in an interview Igor Lazorin. “I’m not interested in the Prochazka and Pereira fight at all, but I want to win my fight and fight for the belt with the champion. I don’t care which one of them is the champion – I’m going to step on him anyway.”

“The fight can end early or go to the end – the main thing is to get the win spectacularly, which is what we’ve been working on for a long time. I’m going to try as hard as I can to put Walker down. He’s not dangerous for me – on the contrary, I’m dangerous for him, because he jumps, and at altitude he can grab a good bank from me. We’re going to show maximum spectacle to keep Dana White happy.”

As a reminder, the fight between Magomed Ankalaev and Johnny Walker will be the third main event of UFC 294 on October 21 in Abu Dhabi, while Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira will play for the vacant bantamweight championship belt on November 11 at UFC 295 in New York City.
