Former UFC lightweight champion, Peter Yan, was admitted to the hospital two days ago where he was apparently operated on under general anesthesia.
This information follows from a video the Russian posted on social media.
“Friends, everything is under control, I’m at the base,” says not too cockily Yan, lying in a hospital bed.
“Slept two days ago, now I’m home,” he explains in an attached comment.
The fighter did not say what exactly happened to him, but judging by the bandage, he had some problems with his eye.
A few days earlier, Petr Yan’s manager, Sayat Abdrakhmanov, denied the information that his ward will fight his next fight on December 9 at the UFC event in China against local fighter Song Yadong.
Currently, 30-year-old Peter Yan is riding a three-fight losing streak and is ranked fifth in the UFC’s lightweight rankings.
