A.J. McKee is scheduled to fight at Bellator 301.

Former Bellator champion and welterweight grand prix winner A.J. McKee, who dropped out of the lightweight grand prix lineup due to a staph infection, will return to the cage on Nov. 17 at Bellator 301 in Chicago, and his opponent will be Sidney Outlaw.

Informed sources close to the situation said of the fight’s organization.

A.J. McKee, 28, has won all of his 20 professional victories under the Bellator banner, most recently defeating reigning Rizin lightweight champion Roberto De Souza by unanimous decision at the co-main event in Japan. The American’s only loss came in a title rematch with Patricio Freire, to whom he lost by unanimous decision last April.

Sidney Outlaw, 31, put his career back on track in August with a unanimous decision win over Islam Mamedov. In doing so, the American fighter closed out his loss to Tofik Musaev, to whom he lost by technical knockout last July.

Sidney Outlaw and A.J. McKee are currently ranked fifth and sixth in Bellator’s lightweight rankings, respectively.
