A unification bout between reigning UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski and interim title holder Yair Rodriguez will headline the next numbered event in the world’s strongest league, in the second major event, Brandon Moreno will defend the UFC flyweight championship belt against Alejandra Pantozhy.
The number one contender in the middleweight division will be up for grabs by Robert Whittaker and Drykus Du Plessis. The winner of this fight will be the main candidate to fight Israel Adesanya, who plans to defend his belt on September 9 at UFC 293 in Sydney.

The live broadcast of the UFC 290 tournament will be available for free on Match TV, Match! Fighter”, in the official Match TV channels on Rutube and Odnoklassniki, as well as on the UFC Fight Pass digital platform for a paid subscription.
The beginning of the broadcast on the TV channel “Match! Fighter” – at 0:55 Moscow time, and “Match TV” will connect to the broadcast at 5:00 with the start of the main card of the event.
