Former two-weight UFC champion Georges St-Pierre will compete in a grappling tournament at the end of the year, returning to competitive sports for the first time since his last UFC fight in November 2017.
The Canadian legend will compete at the Fight Pass Invitational event on December 14, where he will play a no-gi jiu-jitsu match against an as-yet-unnamed opponent.
“Today I got the list from the UFC and we’re going to find out who is available and who people want to see me fight,” GSP told reporters at International Fight Week in Las Vegas.
Separately, St-Pierre clarified that the list did not include the name of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
“Khabib was not on the list,” said the Canadian.
Georges St-Pierre, 42, has not competed since wrestling the UFC Middleweight Championship from Michael Bisping at UFC 217 in New York, resuming his career after a four-year hiatus. In 2021, the Canadian fighter was going to have a boxing match with Oscar De La Hoya, but UFC President Dana White vetoed the fight.
