The current UFC heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, commented on the meeting with the current UFC middleweight title holder, Israel Adesanya, which put an end to the protracted conflict between the fighters.
“We need more moments like this!” the American wrote on the social network, posting a joint photo with the Nigerian. “Life is too short for us not to have the opportunity to stop fighting and get along with each other. It was a great pleasure to meet UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya. I wish him all the best as he moves forward. Respect!”
Jones also posted a video of an impromptu look battle and light sparring with Adesanya.
Recall that Jon Jones has until the end of the year to defend the title against Stipe Miocic or Sergey Pavlovich, and the next opponent of Israel Adesanya will be determined this weekend in a challenge match between Robert Whittaker and Drikus Du Plessis.
