Russian PFL fighter Rizvan Kuniev banned for one year

Russian heavyweight Rizvan Kuniev, who became a participant in a big doping scandal in the PFL league, has been suspended for twelve months and stripped of the victory he won against Brazilian Henan Ferreira in April this year.

In addition, the Russian, in whose doping test drostanolone, methenolone, boldenone and norandrosterone were found, will pay a fine of $9,821.

The fighters who were disciplined also included Thiago Santos, Cesar Ferreira, Rob Wilkinson, Will Flury, Daniel Torres and Mohammad Fakhreddin. All of them will serve from nine to twelve months of suspension, pay fines, and Wilkinson and Flury, like Kuniev, will lose their victories.

Earlier it was reported that Krzysztof Jotko and Bruno Cappelozza were among the fighters who failed doping tests, however, there is no information on them yet.

In April of this year, former Eagle FC heavyweight champion Rizvan Kuniev made a successful debut in the PFL league, defeating Henan Ferreira via unanimous decision in the first round of the regular season. Prior to this, the 31-year-old Russian won nine victories in a row, six of which he got ahead of schedule.
