The participants of the quarterfinal fight of the ACA heavyweights grand prix, Muhumat Vakhaev and Grigory Ponomarev, staged an intense battle of views, which had every chance of turning into a brawl.
“He decided to scare me with a dangerous look,” Vakhaev said after the fighters stood in front of each other, and then twice butted his opponent in the face.
“Come on, get excited, get excited!” Ponomarev replied, stepping back and keeping calm.
Unable to provoke an opponent, Vakhaev said something in his ear and made a few grimace, but still could not get the former champion of AMC Fight Nights out of himself.
“You are a big kid,” Vakhaev said at the end.
“You are a funny guy,” Ponomarev retorted, but it was noticeable that self-control was given to him with great difficulty.
The heavyweight fight will take place on July 21 at the ACA 160 tournament in Moscow, and for Ponomarev it will be his debut performance in the organization.
