Tajik fighter Muin Gafurov, who plays in the bantamweight division, has signed a contract with the strongest league in the world, in which he will make his debut on June 3 at UFC on ESPN 46 in Las Vegas.
“We have signed a contract with the UFC. I have a fight on June 3, ”the 27-year-old fighter said on a social network, without specifying the name of the opponent.
In 2021, Muin Gafurov made an unsuccessful attempt to get into the UFC through the Dana White’s Contender Series qualifying show, where he lost a split decision to Canadian Chad Angeliger.
After that, Gafurov won two victories under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner, knocking out Herbert Reis de Souza and Diego Silva. Also, a native of Tajikistan has performed in organizations such as ONE Championship, ACB and UAE Warriors. In total, Gafurov has nineteen professional victories, including eighteen early ones, and four defeats by judicial decisions.
Recall that the main event of the UFC on ESPN 46 tournament will be a featherweight bout between Kai Kara-France and Amir Albazi.
