UFC Fight Night 223 took place in Las Vegas, in the main event of which the representative of the first flyweight division of the UFC, American Mackenzie Dern, confidently defeated her compatriot Angela Hill.
Following the results of five rounds of the fight, the judges by unanimous decision with a score of 49-43 and 49-44 twice gave the victory to Dern, who dominated the opponent both in the standing and on the ground for most of the match.
In an interview after the fight, Mackenzie Dern stated that she would like to share the octagon with former division champion Rose Namajunas.
In the second most important event of the event, American middleweight Anthony Hernandez scored a fourth victory in a row, finishing his compatriot Edmen Shahbazyan with a technical knockout in the third round.
Among other results, we note the successful performance of the Russian lightweight Vyacheslav Borshchev, who returned his career to a victorious track after two defeats in a row, knocking out the Chinese Maheshate Haysaer in the middle of the third round.
