For his light heavyweight debut, former UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira will be the underdog.
Bookmakers have published the starting odds for the upcoming fight, in which the Brazilian will face former division champion Jan Blachowicz, who opened as a minor favorite in this fight.
Blachowicz’s odds are currently 1.8 (55.56% chance), while Pereira’s success is estimated at 2.05 (48.78% chance).
The fight of the former UFC champions will be the second major event of the UFC 291 tournament, which will take place on July 29 in Salt Lake City.
Both fighters failed to win in previous matches – Blachowicz drew a fight for the vacant UFC light heavyweight title against Magomed Ankalaev, and Pereira lost the UFC middleweight championship belt, losing by knockout to Israel Adesanya.
