Daniel Cormier supported Francis Ngannou's decision

While former dual UFC champion Daniel Cormier remains with the world’s strongest league as commentator, he pays tribute to Francis Ngannou and welcomes the Cameroonian heavyweight’s move to the PFL.

“He signed with the PFL – the former UFC heavyweight champion got a big deal,” Cormier said in a recent edition of his ESPN analytics program. “It looks like this deal will completely change the landscape of mixed martial arts. Now he is doing something that no one has done before. We always knew that if anyone was going to set a new standard as a free agent, it would be Francis.”

“Very few people can defend themselves and their opponents this way, and I congratulate the former UFC heavyweight champion for truly setting a new standard in the free agent market. Now it seems real. After what Francis Ngannou did, it became real for the MMA world.”

Two days earlier, the PFL officially announced the signing of the former UFC heavyweight champion, who plans to make his debut in the organization next year.
