Former UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman, did not ignore the statement of Khamzat Chimaev, who made it clear that he wants to see him as his next opponent.
“Khamzat Chimaev,” wrote Nigerian Nightmare on the social media, repeating the same thing the Chechen fighter had done earlier by posting his name.
The idea to fight with Khamzat Chimaev ten days ago was submitted by Kamaru Usman himself, however, UFC President Dana White reacted without enthusiasm to this proposal, saying that this fight could only take place in the middleweight category.
A few days earlier, Borz denied the words of the head of the organization that his long downtime was due to some personal problems that did not allow him to return to the octagon. Chimaev said he was ready to fight any top opponent in both middleweight and welterweight divisions.
Recall that Kamaru Usman is on a series of two defeats that he suffered in title fights with Leon Edwards, and Khamzat Chimaev won his sixth victory in a row in the UFC in September last year, having dealt with Kevin Holland in the first round.
