Dana White responds to Adesanya and Pereira's third fight

A third title fight between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira is not on the organization’s agenda, UFC President Dana White announced at a press conference in Newark.

“I have no idea what it’s all about – Pereira will move up to light heavyweight,” White told a reporter who asked him to comment on the Brazilian’s intention to complete the trilogy with the Nigerian.

Last November, Alex Pereira took the UFC middleweight title from Israel Adesanya with a fifth-round TKO, and a month ago Adesanya took a convincing revenge with a knockout victory in the second five-minute period.

Having lost the championship belt, the Brazilian fighter announced that he would continue his professional career in light heavyweight, however, after that he made several statements that he first wanted to have a third fight with the Nigerian and put an end to this confrontation.

Recall that in the past, Pereira twice defeated Adesanya in kickboxing fights, and once sent him to a deaf knockout.
