Former UFC middleweight title challenger Paulo Costa claims he is ready to take on former UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz on May 6 at UFC 288 in Newark.
Earlier, the Pole said that the Brazilian refused to fight him, but Costa made it clear that the statement of a potential opponent is not true.
“Dude looks insecure,” wrote the Brazilian fighter. “Come on, man, don’t move out – the tournament needs to be saved”
“I don’t like to say that someone avoids fighting me or something like that – maybe he is injured, or fatter than me, I really don’t know, for sure he has his own reasons,” he added. “I just know that fat Paulo is ready to enter the octagon on May 6th. It’s a great fight because you don’t have to drive much, so I’m in.”
UFC 288 previously lost the lightweight contendership between Charles Oliveira and Benil Dariush, and the organization’s matchmakers are currently trying to boost the card, the main event of which will be a bantamweight title fight between Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo.
