Alex Pereira: “I’m afraid of myself, so I broke all the mirrors in the house”

Alex Pereira:

The reigning UFC middleweight champion, Alex Pereira, who is due to go out for a title rematch against Israel Adesanya this weekend, explained why he practically does not use three-throw on the eve of a principled duel.

“I love to train, I love to fight, but trash is not my thing,” the Brazilian said in the next issue of the UFC Embedded blog. “Conversations are given to me with great difficulty, so I don’t like it. My business is to train – this is what I love, and I do very well. I’m in such a shape that I’m already afraid of myself. I broke all the mirrors in the house so as not to catch my eye.”

Last November, Alex Pereira took the UFC championship belt from Israel Adesanya, finishing the Nigerian by TKO in the fifth round, and an immediate rematch of the middleweights will be the main event of UFC 287, which will be held on April 8 in Miami.

Unlike his rival, Adesanya actively distributes interviews and releases video blogs, in the last of which he promised to arrange a “bloodbath” for Pereira.
