Russian Irina Alekseeva, who signed a contract with the strongest league in the world last August, will make her debut in the organization on April 29 at UFC Fight Night 223 in Las Vegas, and the representative of Switzerland Stephanie Egger will become her opponent.

The women’s bantamweight bout was officially announced by the UFC.

32-year-old Irina Alekseeva, nicknamed “Russian Rhonda”, has had five professional fights in mixed martial arts, scoring four victories and suffering one defeat. Alekseeva last fought in October 2021 at Bellator 269 in Moscow, defeating Stephanie Lilo Page via unanimous decision.

Stephanie Egger, 34, got her career back on track last September when she finished with a rear-naked choke in the second round of Eileen Perez. A month earlier, Egger had already lost in the first round with an armbar to Maira Bueno Silva.

Recall that the main event of the UFC Fight Night 223 tournament will be a lightweight fight between Russian Arman Tsarukyan and Brazilian Renato Moicano.
