AMC Fight Nights heavyweight title holder Grigory Ponomarev will make his ACA debut on July 21 at ACA 160 in Sochi against No. 2 heavyweight champion Muhumat Vakhaev.
The fight, which will become the quarterfinal match of the Grand Prix, was officially announced by representatives of the leading Russian promotion.
27-year-old Grigory Ponomarev successfully defended the AMC Fight Nights heavyweight championship belt two weeks ago, finishing with a technical knockout of his compatriot Yusup Shuaev in the first round.
33-year-old Muhumat Vakhaev has been alternating victories with defeats for the last two years, having lost a unanimous decision to Evgeny Goncharov in the previous fight.
