This past weekend at UFC 285 in Las Vegas, Alexa Grasso pulled off one of the biggest upsets in mixed martial arts history, finishing Valentina Shevchenko with a fourth-round rear naked choke to become the new UFC flyweight champion. At the same time, “Bullet” advanced to the fourth round, fighting with a score of 29-28 on the cards of all judges.
After the fight, Shevchenko announced that she was counting on an immediate revenge, and Grasso agreed to the fight, expressing her hope that this confrontation would take place in Mexico, which the organization plans to visit before the end of this year.
