The American fighter, who held the UFC light heavyweight championship belt, will return to the octagon after a three-year hiatus, while the Frenchman, who occupies the first line in the heavyweight division of the organization, will make a second attempt to win the current title.
In the co-main event of the event, current UFC flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko will defend her title against Mexican Alexa Grasso.
The third most important event of the numbered show will be the welterweight fight between the undefeated Kazakh fighter Shavkat Rakhmonov and the American Jeff Neal, who failed the weight race the day before and will give his opponent thirty percent of the fee for the fight.
The early preliminary card of the UFC 285 tournament will open the duel of a native of Tajikistan, Loika Radjabov, who will face Argentinean Esteban Ribovich. For both lightweights, the fight will be a debut in the strongest league in the world.
